Good flashcard program for memorizing scripture (or anything)
Mnemosyne is a good program to aid memorization. You input questions and answers; it shows you a question; you press a button and it reveals the answer. You then click buttons indicating whether you got it wrong, right with much effort, or right with little effort. The cool thing is that it shows you the cards that you are worse at more frequently. This aids memorization.
It's available for Windows, Linux, and Mac.

There's an iphone app called Flashcards. Works pretty much the same way. They even have an interface cloud so you can type in your data on a computer instead of on the iphone.

Jonathan,
I've found Mnemosyne to be very useful for memorizing language vocabulary. The idea of using it for scripture is intriguing. How exactly do you work it into a question and answer format - are you just using the citation for your question, like Luke 2:1-12?
On the iPhone there is an identical implementation of the Mnemosyne algorithm: it is called iSRS. It's terrific - the program has full compatibility with Mnemosyne data files.

Hi Matthew - Yep, I was using the citation for the question.
I have given up on this project though and am on to other things (such as trying to learn Latin).
